Duff Goldman is a Culinary Institute of America trained Pastry Chef and has been working as a Chef and Pastry Chef since 1996. In addition to his CIA training, Duff has also attended the Peter Kump's New York Cooking School. He has studied Art and Color Theory at Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and holds a BA from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. His first notable position was as a bread baker and assistant pastry chef at Savannah restaurant working under acclaimed Baltimore Chef Cindy Wolf. He then went on to hold positions as a bread baker at Napa Valley Ovens and as a pastry stagiere at The French Laundry in Yountville, California (considered by many to be the best restaurant in the country). From there, Chef Duff went on to become Executive Pastry Chef at the Vail Cascade Hotel and Resort in Vail, Colorado, and later to become a Sous Chef at Todd English's Olives in Washington, D.C. Duff most recently worked as a Personal Chef for a family in Baltimore, MD and now is the Baker/Owner of Charm City Cakes, also located in Baltimore. Aside from baking and cooking, Duff also sporadically hosts a live cooking show sponsored by The Living Room Company, a Baltimore-based Theater group. Duff is also a musician and sculptor and all around good guy with the cleanest hands in town.
